Where Is My Payment? How to Track and Troubleshoot Your Payment
💰 Quick check if your payment seems late: 1. Go to Bookings → find your shift → tap ⋯ → tap Payment Status. 2. Check the expected payment date — if it hasn’t passed, your payment is still on track. 3. If the date has passed, check your Stripe Dashboard — most “missing” payments are sitting there waiting to transfer to your bank. |
After completing a shift, you can track exactly where your money is at every stage. The Payment Status tracker in your Bookings section shows whether the practice has paid, where your payment is in the payout process, and when it’s expected to arrive. This guide covers how to check your payment status, understand payment timelines, and what to do if something seems wrong.
How Do I Check My Payment Status?
The Payment Status tracker gives you a real-time view of every completed shift’s payment.
How to open the Payment Status tracker: 1. Go to the Bookings section. 2. Find your completed shift. 3. Tap the ⋯ icon on the right. 4. Tap Payment Status. |

The tracker shows:
• Practice payment status — whether the practice has paid for your shift.
• Processing progress — where it is in the payout process.
• Expected payment date — when the funds should arrive in Stripe.
• Days to payment — shown with a green icon next to the amount.
• Direct link to Stripe — for real-time payout updates.
How Long Does Payment Take?
Your payment follows three steps:
1. Practice approves your timesheet → payment is processed. 2. Payment reaches your Stripe account → 5–18 days depending on how the practice pays. 3. Stripe transfers to your bank → automatic, usually 3–4 additional business days. |
Payment timing depends on how the practice pays:
• Card-paying practices — funds reach Stripe in around 5 days after timesheet approval.
• Invoice-paying practices — funds reach Stripe in around 18 days after timesheet approval.
The days-to-payment indicator next to each booking amount reflects the actual timeline for that specific shift.
📊 Many locums only check their bank account and miss that funds are already in Stripe — always check Stripe first. |
My Payment Seems Late — Where Do I Look First?
Most “missing” payments are actually sitting in your Stripe account waiting to transfer to your bank. Before contacting support, follow these steps in order:
Action | How | |
1 | Check the Payment Status tracker | Go to Bookings → ⋯ → Payment Status. Look at the expected payment date. If it hasn’t passed yet, your payment is still on track. |
2 | Check your Stripe Dashboard | From the tracker, tap Open Stripe Dashboard. Or go to Get Paid in your Airlocum profile and tap Open Stripe Dashboard. Check whether the funds are there. |
3 | Download the Stripe app (optional) | Get the Stripe Dashboard app (iOS / Android) for push notifications the moment your payout arrives. |
4 | Contact support | If the expected date has passed by more than 1 day and funds aren’t in Stripe, open live chat and ask to speak to a person. Send a screenshot of your Stripe dashboard balance — this helps us resolve it quickly. |
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the tracker show different timelines for different shifts?
Because practices pay in different ways. Card-paying practices process faster (around 5 days) than invoice-paying practices (around 18 days). The tracker reflects the actual method used for each shift.
The payment is in Stripe but not in my bank — is something wrong?
Probably not. Stripe transfers to your bank automatically, but this can take 3–4 additional business days depending on your bank. If it’s been more than 4 business days since the funds appeared in Stripe, contact support.
Is Stripe safe?
Yes. Stripe is the same payment platform used by companies like Amazon, Google, and Deliveroo. Your bank details are encrypted and never shared with practices.
Can I get paid faster?
Payment timing depends on how the practice pays, which is outside your control. Submitting your timesheet promptly after each shift ensures there’s no delay on your end.
What should I include when I contact support about a payment?
Send a screenshot of your Stripe dashboard balance. This helps us immediately determine whether your payment is still processing or genuinely delayed.
