The hourly rate you see on our platform (e.g., £25.60/hour) is the total you pay. There are no hidden fees.


Why Two Invoices?

For legal and accounting clarity, we separate the charges:

  • Locum’s invoice – Payment for hours worked, paid directly to the self-employed locum (e.g., £22/hour)

  • Airlocum’s invoice – Our service fee (including VAT) for using the platform (e.g., £3.60/hour)

Total: £22.00 + £3.60 = £25.60/hour — exactly what was shown before you booked.


Why This Matters

This split confirms:

  • Locums are independent freelancers providing services directly to you

  • Airlocum simply facilitates the connection

  • Both parties remain compliant with legal and tax requirements


Bottom line: You’ll always pay exactly the rate you saw when booking. The invoices are just separated for transparency and compliance.
