As an Airlocum professional, you’re part of a community built on reliability, professionalism, and mutual respect. This policy explains how cancellations are handled and how your Reliability Score impacts your success.
🤝 Community Standards
When you accept a shift:
Practices plan their day around your commitment.
Other locums lose the chance to take that shift.
Your responsibility: If you accept a shift, you’re committed to working it.
🚫 No-Show Policy
What Counts as a No-Show:
Not attending a shift without cancelling via the Airlocum platform.
Providing less than 2 hours’ notice before the shift starts.
Failing to communicate through official Airlocum channels.
Consequences:
Immediate account deactivation.
We cannot secure emergency cover with less than 2 hours’ notice, which can leave practices and patients without essential care.
📊 Reliability Score System
How It Works:
Starting score: 100%
Each cancellation: –10%
Minimum to stay active: 80%
Calculated from: Your last 10 accepted shifts (recent history only).
✅ How to Cancel Properly
If you must cancel:
Go to Bookings in your Airlocum profile.
Click the three dots (•••) next to your shift.
Select Cancel Booking.
Choose a reason and submit.
⚠️ Even correct cancellations reduce your Reliability Score and may incur fees based on notice given.
💡 Prevention Tips
Check your calendar before accepting shifts.
Factor in travel time and possible delays.
Only accept shifts you’re confident you can complete.
Have contingency plans for emergencies.
🏆 Why Reliability Matters
High reliability leads to:
Priority booking notifications.
More shift opportunities.
Stronger relationships with practices.
Higher earning potential.
Bottom line: Your reputation on Airlocum is built on consistent attendance. Reliable locums get more work, better rates, and long-term success.
