If your payment is showing in Stripe but hasn’t reached your account, and your payout method is set to a Mastercard or Visa card, here’s what’s happening:
The reason:
Stripe does not send payouts to cards automatically. Card payouts must be triggered manually, which is why your funds are sitting in Stripe instead of landing in your account.
Best Solution (Recommended) – Add Your Bank Account
Switching to a bank account for payouts means:
✅ Automatic transfers every time you’re paid
✅ No fees from Stripe for sending the money
✅ No more “stuck” payments
How to add your bank account:
Log into your Stripe dashboard (from your Airlocum profile, go to Get Paid → Open Stripe Dashboard).
Go to Settings → Bank accounts and scheduling (sometimes shown as Payout methods).
Click Add bank account and enter your UK sort code and account number.
Set this bank account as your default payout method.
Alternative Quick Fix – Manual Card Payout
If you need the money urgently, Airlocum’s support team can request a manual payout to your card.
⚠️ Note: Stripe charges a 1% fee for this.
Example: On a £180 payout, Stripe will deduct £1.80.

💡 Pro Tip: Once you’ve switched to a bank account, you’ll never have to chase “stuck” payments again — payouts will happen automatically within 3–4 days of Stripe receiving your funds.
