All rates displayed on locum profiles are all-inclusive – they include the locum’s hourly rate, our service fee, and VAT.

Hourly Rates by Professional Type
Nurses & Receptionists
£19.60 – £28.60 per hour (all-inclusive)
Rates vary by location, experience, and specialist skills
Locums set their own rates within market ranges
Dentists, Hygienists & Therapists
Set their own competitive rates
All rates include our service fee and VAT
Travel Reimbursement (Nurses & Receptionists Only)
Mileage allowance: 45p per mile after the first 25 miles (round trip)
How it works:
First 25 miles of the total journey: FREE
Miles 26+: 45p per mile
Example:
Total journey: 50 miles (practice ↔ locum)
Chargeable miles: 50 – 25 = 25 miles
Mileage charge: 25 × 45p = £11.25
