If a practice cancels your booking less than 18 hours before the shift start time, you’ll still get paid your full agreed booking fee 💰.

This payment is processed automatically — you don’t need to do anything. It will appear in your Stripe account just like a completed shift.

Why we do this:

  • Protects your income when you’ve set aside the day for work

  • Compensates for other jobs you may have turned down

  • Encourages practices to give reasonable notice when cancelling

Example:
You’re booked for a shift on Tuesday from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
At 5:30 PM on Monday (less than 18 hours before start time), the practice cancels.

Result: You receive payment for the full 8 hours at your agreed hourly rate, exactly as if you’d worked the shift.
