What Documents Do I Need to Become a Verified Locum on Airlocum?

✅ Documents required at a glance

• DBS certificate (Disclosure and Barring Service) — all roles

• GDC registration certificate — all roles

• Professional indemnity insurance — all roles

• Hepatitis B immunisation record — all roles

• Skills certificates — where applicable to your role

Expired documents hide your profile from practice searches. Keep all documents current.

Practices booking through Airlocum need confidence that every locum they book is compliant and safe to work. Your documents are verified before your profile goes live, and re-checked on an ongoing basis. Practices can view your verification documents but cannot see your raw uploaded files — only confirmation that each document has been verified.

How to Upload Your Documents

#

Step

What to do

1

Prepare your documents

Scan or take a clear photo of each document. Make sure the full document is visible, including the expiry date where applicable.

Redact any personal information you do not want shared — in particular your home address. Cover or remove it before uploading. Practices will see your documents once a booking is confirmed, so only share what is professionally necessary.

2

Go to your Documents section

Log in to your Airlocum profile and navigate to the Documents section.

3

Upload each document

Click Choose File under each document type and select your file.

Enter the expiry date for each document where prompted.

4

Acknowledge and save

Before saving, you will be asked to tick a box confirming that you have redacted any personal information (such as your home address) that you do not want shared with practices.

Tap the green Save button to confirm. Repeat for each document.

⚠️ Expired documents hide your profile

If any of your documents expire and are not renewed, your profile will be hidden from practice searches until the updated document is uploaded and verified.

Airlocum sends you an alert 60 days before your GDC registration expires. Set your own reminders for indemnity insurance and DBS renewal dates.

Document Privacy

Your compliance documents are stored securely on the platform. They are shared only with practices that have a confirmed booking with you — practices cannot browse your documents before booking. Airlocum verifies each document and confirms its status to practices; your raw uploaded files remain private.

Before uploading, redact any personal information you do not want shared — particularly your home address. You will be asked to tick a confirmation box in the Documents section acknowledging you have done this. Once ticked and saved, practices will only see what you have chosen to share.
